Meet the Maker

Hi, I'm Aga.
I'm the artist behind Eight Paws Designs, creating handmade pottery from my home studio in Texas. Originally from Poland, my roots continue to inspire the way I see the world and shape every piece I make. From blooming wildflowers and woodland mushrooms to quiet moments in nature, I'm drawn to the beauty found in everyday landscapes and the stories they tell.
Before discovering pottery, I explored photography, watercolor, charcoal, and pencil sketching. Clay became the place where all of those creative passions came together. It allows me to draw, carve, sculpt, and experiment with texture while creating pieces that are both beautiful and meant to be used every day.
Beautiful objects have a way of slowing us down. I create pottery inspired by nature to make everyday living feel a little more meaningful.
Inspired by Nature
Nature is at the heart of everything I create.
Each collection begins with a walk outdoors, a memory from home, or a small detail that catches my attention - a field of wildflowers, the texture of tree bark, a tiny mushroom after the rain, or berries growing along a woodland path. Those moments become sketches, and eventually they find their way onto clay.
Rather than simply decorating pottery, I hope each piece captures a small moment of nature that can become part of your own daily rituals.

Crafted by Hand
Every piece begins in small batches in my Texas studio.
I wheel-throw each vessel before carefully trimming, carving, or sculpting every design by hand. After drying, each piece is glazed and fired twice in the kiln, allowing the natural beauty of the clay to contrast with soft, carefully layered glazes.
Because every flower, mushroom, leaf, and woodland detail is created by hand, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Those subtle differences aren't imperfections; they're part of what makes handmade pottery so special.

Made for Everyday Living
I believe the objects we use every day deserve to be both beautiful and functional.
Whether it's your first cup of coffee in the morning, fresh flowers gathered from the garden, olive oil sitting on the kitchen counter, or a thoughtful handmade gift for someone you love, I hope my pottery becomes part of the moments that make a house feel like home.
Each piece is thoughtfully handmade to bring a little more beauty, warmth, and connection to everyday life.

Why "Eight Paws"?
Eight Paws Designs is named after my two dogs, whose joy, curiosity, and unwavering companionship inspire me every day. They remind me to slow down, stay present, and appreciate life's simple moments- the same spirit I hope lives in every piece that leaves my studio.
Thank you for supporting handmade art and small businesses. It truly means the world to me, and I'm honored that something I've created might become part of your home and your story.
